The Big Year Update: 7/20/2018

Grady Johnson's White Bass entry
July has been a hot month! Almost too hot! However, there have been a couple of anglers who have withstood the heat, and make some great additions to their species lists.  Kirk Dietrich moves up to 1st place, overtaking the spot once held by David Karcher, with catches that include Striped Mullet, Channel Catfish, and Lady Fish.  Grady Johnson also added a new species, White Bass, to his Big Year list. Go fishing when you have the chance, but be smart, and stay safe in this heat! The leaderboard now looks as follows:

Also, just as a reminder:  Please be sure that (1.) To include the Big Year Photo ID Card with your Big Year submissions, and (2.) To submit all CPR entries to nolaffc@gmail.com so we can track them more accurately.  Remember, it isn't the size of the fish that's important, it's the diversity of fish species that will determine the winner. The time of 1st entry will be the tie-breaker (in the event it is needed).  Most importantly, have fun!

The Big Year is off and running!  I can't wait to see everyone's catches in the upcoming months.  If you haven't had the opportunity to pickup a stamped tournament ID card, please let either myself, A.J. Rosenbohm, or Jimmie Hyatt know so you can participate in The Big Year!  Please take advantage of this tournament, and use it as an opportunity to catch fishes you normally don't pursue within the FFI Gulf Coast Council region.
