The Big Year Update: 6/4/18

Brian Karcher's Rio Grande Cichlid entry
Things have definitly picked up!  Over the last 2 weeks, there have been many noteworthy catches.  Chuck Miller, Jimmie Hyatt, Bill DeCastro, A.J. Rosenbohm each recorded a Rio Grande Cichlid over the last couple of weeks.  Various species of sunfish have also been entered by many Big Year participants.  David (Red Spotted Sunfish) and Brian Karcher (Red Spotted Sunfish, Green Sunfish), Joe Bandera (Green Sunfish), and Meade Phelps (Bluegill) all caught their entries for the respective entries over the last couple of weeks.  With his Bluegill entry, Meade Phelps joined in on The Big Year fun!  Remember, it's never too late to get in on The Big Year!  Here are the updated results as of 6/3/18:

Also, just as a reminder:  Please be sure that (1.) To include the Big Year Photo ID Card with your Big Year submissions, and (2.) To submit all CPR entries to nolaffc@gmail.com so we can track them more accurately.  Remember, it isn't the size of the fish that's important, it's the diversity of fish species that will determine the winner. The time of 1st entry will be the tie-breaker (in the event it is needed).  Most importantly, have fun!

Bill DeCastro's Rio Grande Cichlid entry
The Big Year is off and running, full steam ahead!  I can't wait to see everyone's catches in the upcoming months.  If you haven't had the opportunity to pickup a stamped tournament ID card, please let either myself, A.J. Rosenbohm, or Jimmie Hyatt know so you can participate in The Big Year!  Please take advantage of this tournament, and use it as an opportunity to catch fishes you normally don't pursue within the FFI Gulf Coast Council region.
